CHROMA listens with 88 constant-Q filters — one per piano note — and maps what it hears onto the circle of fifths, where harmony becomes hue. Related keys sit on neighboring colors; dissonance sits across the wheel. Watch music paint itself, or use the same engine to tune, drone, and drill.

Listen like a piano

A constant-Q filterbank gives every note its own analysis window — long enough at the bottom of the keyboard to truly resolve an A0, short and fast at the top. No FFT smearing across low semitones.

Harmony becomes hue

The twelve pitch classes are arranged by fifths around the color wheel. A key change drifts the color; a tritone flips it to its complement. The color you see is the harmony you hear.
